Deshima Amsterdam ( Netherlands )
http://www.deshima-air.com/ This residency program is cultural exchange program between Netherlands and Japan, that
focus on geographical, cultural and historical state of Netherlands. Although it is mainly catered for artists from both countries, it is not exclusive to them, others who are largely independent, open-minded and creative. It is interesting to closely experience two different cultures and interacting with people from various fields through a program, thereon getting inspiration for creative work.
Activities:
Presentation, artist talk, exhibition, depending on the discipline and project of the artist.

Soulangh Artist Village ( R.O.C Taiwan )
Built on a Japanese era sugar refinery warehouse, the historic architecture is with modern design in an area rich in history, culture and agriculture.The structure of the art village itself is and interesting amalgamation of different cultures. In addition to being a great place for exchangin ideas with international particiapnts for creative inspiration, it is also situated close to local artisan and craftsmen, allowing the opportunity to have a better insight on local culture and arts.
Activities:
During the residency, the selected applicants should provide one type of presentation, such as an exhibition, performance or workshops
Towards the end of the residency, applicants are required to complete a report and questionnaire which include details of the residents’ experience, the progress of the project and any relevant feedback.
Tsung-Yeh Artist Village ( R.O.C Taiwan )
The Cultural Bureau of Tainan City Government
The Tsung-Yeh artist village is yet another space formed through the fusion of multicultural ideas, a gathering site for both local and international artists to exchange ideas. Being a cultural bureau of Tainan City government, they have established themselves as a center for arts, crafts and culture while producing valuable creative works in Tainan.
Activities:
During residency, the selected applicants should provide one type of presentation.
After the residency is complete, a short report of what the selected applicants have learned from the project; how the project progressed; what kind of feedback the artist received; and a questionnaire will be submitted.
Art Biotop Nasu ( Japan )
This residency program in Japan provides opportunities in various areas such : Painting/Print, Crafts (ceramics and glass works), Photography/Film, Sculpture, Design/Fashion, Performance/Dance. Often art residency programs focus mainly on paintings, sculpture or writing and not photography or film which is often considered "mainstream media". Furthermore, as I am not particularly fond of crowds, the peaceful and calming environment offered is quite alluring.

Kyoto Art Center ( Japan )
Established in 2000 on the site of former Meirin elementary School, the art center offers the opportunity for experiencing diverse genres of art as well as creating new cultures through reinvigorating traditions, taking into account the historical and cultural value of the traditional architecture, utilizing them to inspire artistic activity while bringing fecundity to the city with the incorporation of technology and industry.

Aid and support for young artists in whatever genre;
Collecting and dispatching of information concerning art and culture by means of various kinds of media;
Affording the chance for communication among the artists or between artists and citizens, especially by welcoming artists coming from in and out of the country as artists-in-residence
Rimbun Dahan ( Malaysia )
Established in 1994, Rimbun Dahan encourages emerging artist to explore and build their artistic work in a unique environment. Situated in my home country, the art organization offers a great opportunity to gain a better understanding of local heritage, culture and traditions through the exploration of local art.
