Model: Monica Clare Mills

Photographer: Me

Monica and I were experimenting with photography / performance. Trying out different "characters" behind different coloured veils. Looking at her watch despite not being able to see or smoking without a mouth, these strange actions we thought was quite interesting.

In post production, I played around with the tones and colours. I realized that while the coloured ones are somewhat strange, monochromes have a different appeal. Black and white images seems to have a timeless appeal, making things more mysterious. Despite some obvious double exposure effect of some old surreal photography, the black and white images somehow seem more believable than our sharper colourized photos today.
